Baan Jang Nak – the workshop and museum of wooden carved elephants

The Baan Jang Nak museum lies in a quiet back street in a small village 18 km east of Chiang Mai. Khun Phet Wiriya is a master craftsman who has spent his life carving wooden elephants in exquisite detail. There is a museum where many of the carving and other work of art are on display. If you are in Chiang Mai this place is really worth a visit.
